Job Description:
RiverFall Credit Union, located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is currently in search of a full-time Collections Coordinator. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the collections process. You will work closely with members to identify solutions to resolve negative account balances or delinquent loans and collect payments, while protecting the credit union’s financial assets. You will manage processes related to account and loan charge-offs; stay up to date on legal and compliance matters related to collections; handle credit report disputes (e-Oscar) and provide support to management and the Board of Directors. You’ll also enjoy the opportunity to participate in activities that support our community.
This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. The salary range for this position starts at $41,600 but is negotiable based on experience. Please note, remote work is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
Primary duties include monitoring accounts with unpaid debts, mailing notices, processing payments, posting to the general ledger, updating account records on collection efforts, and reporting collection activity and account status. In addition, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of bankruptcy, repossession, as well as any criminal investigations, acting as the primary point of contact for attorneys and repossession agents.

Qualifications/Here’s What We Are Looking For:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience in collections required, banking experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and strategically prioritize
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and time management skills
• Microsoft Excel and e-Oscar experience required, Symitar Quest experience preferred
