Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- They must stay knowledgeable about automotive technology and safety standards while performing their duties efficiently and safely
- Hold a Valid and Clean Drivers License
- Punctual and reliable
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Be able to bend, stretch, reach and climb
- Be able to lift up to 70 pounds
- Schedule flexibility - ability to work Saturdays
- Outstanding communication skills- verbal & written
- Professional appearance
- Self motivated
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Proficient in using computer software and systems, along with Tablet apps
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to changing technologies and industry
- Automotive Technician: 2 years (Required)
- Clean Driver's License (Required)
- New York State Inspectors License (Required)
