Job Description
The Therapist provides a full spectrum of clinical services within the scope of his / her / their licensure. These services range
from mental-health therapy to case management. The Therapist is responsible for providing the highest possible care to
every client served. This role can be complex as therapists must navigate between varying interests. For example, while client
advocacy and rapport must be priorities, consideration must be given to the interests of funders, legal entities, and other
stake holders. This role requires strong collaborative skills, as therapists work with various teams, including treatment teams
and legal entities. The Therapist assists the Program Manager and Director of SUD Treatment Services in other administrative
tasks and works in concert with the priorities of the Senior Management Team, the Executive Director, and the Board of
Directors. Strong interpersonal boundaries and a clear understanding of ethical responsibilities are a necessity for this
position. The overall goals of this position are to :
a) provide high-quality care for clients
b) provide a high level of customer service for funders, clients, and other stake holders
c) provide support for the clinical and administrative teams
Requirements
- Must have a Master's degree and an active license in Utah (clinical mental health counselor, social worker, marriage and family therapist, or substance use disorder counselor)
- Experience in substance abuse and mental health treatment preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
