Primary responsibilities:
- Provides leadership to create a high-performing, creative, and collaborative work environment. Develops a team of motivated, results-oriented individuals promoting cooperation among employees and other departments. Holds regular coaching and development discussions, and maintains awareness of each employees strengths, developmental needs, and career goals.
- Coordinates and directs the daily activities of assigned branch personnel to provide efficient, effective, professional service to members.
- Ensures that employees have a thorough knowledge of credit union products and services, consultative selling skills, and member satisfaction objectives and that they use that knowledge to support the credit union mission.
- Serves as a strong advocate for all Retail programs and performs regular employee observations for ongoing development.
- Effectively and consistently uses the credit union employee performance benchmarks for ongoing coaching conversations for awareness, results, and support of the team and as a driver to the greater credit union desired results.
- Acts as a working manager and steps in and performs the responsibilities of all other positions within the branch, as needed.
- Manages work scheduling and workflow of daily routine operations. Delivers effective and efficient performance of all branch operations. Assists manager with overseeing expenses. Pursues cost saving measures. Continually seeks ways to improve branch operations, productivity and to meet established goals
- Models effective consultative selling skills and member interactions by being a positive role model, setting goals, performing regular coaching, promoting continual use of Credit Union programs, and effective communication. Encourages teamwork and cooperation among all personnel and departments.
Must Haves:
- Associate degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of one year experience in a leadership role required. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Minimum of three years financial institution experience required, preferably within a branch environment
- Ability to represent the credit union to members and business partners in a friendly, positive, and professional manner, consistent with that of the Credit Union at all times. Ability to determine members needs and communicate ideas effectively
- Demonstrated ability to effectively sell credit union products and services to members, using consultative selling skills to define and recommend enhancements to the member's financial services.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply operational procedures, and the credit unions products and services. Possesses a good understanding of operations risk, compliance, fraud, and loss.
