Position overview:
As a Teller, you will process a variety of member account transactions, listen to identify member needs and use your products and services knowledge utilizing a consultative approach, providing solutions that are in the best interest of our members, delivering an exceptional member experience. If you are passionate about providing extraordinary customer service, motivated to learn and grow, and a strong team player, we want you on our team!
Primary responsibilities:
Providing prompt, efficient, confidential, and accurate service to members while processing their transactions.
Receiving checks and cash for deposit, verifying the amount and examining checks for proper endorsements.
Responding effectively to member requests, problems, and complaints.
Understanding credit union products and services thoroughly and demonstrating the ability to articulate and discuss the features and benefits of each.
Handling, managing, and balancing currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Must-haves:
1 years' experience in customer service, cashiering, and/or financial institution(s).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to utilize a personal computer and to learn new technologies in a timely manner.
Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn and quickly become familiar with credit union processes and procedures.
Must be able to work branch hours, including Saturdays.
Nice-to-haves:
Spanish speaking skills a plus.
1 year previous cash handling preferred.
Financial institution experience a plus.
