What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Cook-PER DIEM position at RiverMead?
We seek a Lead Cook (per diem) to join our culinary team at RiverMead. Per diem, employees are offered a competitive salary and a weekend shift differential. Our commitment is to provide a safe and friendly work environment where employees feel valued and numerous opportunities for growth.
As a Lead cook, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high food quality and safety standards. Your responsibilities will include preparing cold entrees, appetizers, salads, and desserts according to preparation sheets and recipes for our dining venues, health care centers, and special functions. You will also create accompaniments and garnishes, emphasizing eye appeal and presentation.
Responsibilities:**
- Prepare food using proper food handling techniques that comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
- - Complete required food temperature checks.
- - Taste all prepared food items.
- - Maintain accurate preparation records and properly store food items at the end of the meal service.

Minimum Qualifications:**
- - A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of six months of serving and/or food service experience is required; previous cooking experience is preferred.
