During this internship, students will gain knowledges and practical experience in the following areas of Food and Beverage:

During this internship, students will gain knowledges and practical experience in the following areas of Food and Beverage:
- Food and Beverage - Front of House (restaurant operations)
- Food and Beverage - Heart of House (kitchen operations)
- Banquets
- Sales
- Facilities
- Learn and apply in a friendly manner all steps of service for all Casino guests.
- Learn and apply all food service health and safety standards in accordance with all county and state guidelines
- Learn and conduct all positions in food and beverage
- Learn and understand company and brand standards
- Learn inventory and cost controls for each department
- Learn and understand food and beverage financials and budgets
- Shadow each outlet's management teams for one week
- Learn and assist in Sales and marketing with event planning/coordination, booking flow and STR reporting
- Learn the ability to read and interpret business records and statistical reports
- Participate in department brainstorming sessions
- Must be 21 years or older
- Current or recent enrollment in graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in hospitality or culinary arts
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite
- Students majoring in Hospitality or Culinary Arts preferred
- Ability to analyze and interpret established policies and procedures
- Deal with the general public, customers, associates and government officials with tact and courtesy
- Complete all assigned tasks, reports, projects, etc. in a professional manner and on and on-time basis
- Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of 0bjects
- Prolonged period of sitting, standing, and walking
- Regularly required to see, talk and hear, use of manual dexterity including reaching, handling and feeling
- Exposure to high noise level for prolonged periods of time
- Rotating schedules based on business needs
- A project will be assigned during internship and must be concluded by the end of the internship and may include some or all of the following:
- Research
- Advertising or marketing strategies
- Learning about competitors
- Figuring out better systems or processes
- Creating a presentation
- Final review of internship
