Position Summary: Application analyst (app admins) view, manage and configure user permissions in an application. Application analysts will also add and configure applications, assign applications to end users, and create users through an app import. Application analysts will also test and evaluate new software ensuring safe and reliable use on the network. The application analyst will also champion new technology ideas as well as train and update users on new and existing software changes.

Essential Job Functions:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Uses the current data center standards and procedures to streamline operations in an efficient and effective manner Analyzes the environment and recommends enhancements to processes, procedures, tool sets, etc. to improve performance, stability and/or maintainability Design, configuration and continuous administration of server equipment
- Recommends and implements standards for internal/external security, mail, internet, intranet and VOIP Presents findings to senior management in a precise/concise manner Designs, configures and installs server equipment according to industry standards
- Researches ongoing and forward looking technologies and implements systems based on research and company needs
- Monitors system performance, implements corrective action and establishes plans for future system upgrades
- Provides support for servers and the data center
- Analyses performance bottlenecks on network, systems and the overall IT infrastructure. Makes recommendations and implements approved recommendations. This includes but is not limited to the following systems: Active Directory, file servers, SAN, MSSQL servers, and iSeries
- Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned while managing projects through its life cycle.
- Respond to telephone help calls and ensure that all client/user support calls and service requests are handled or escalated in a timely manner
- Provide support for all user facing systems including software and hardware for all platforms, problem determination/isolation, analyzing problem data, performing data analysis, documenting findings, escalating complex problems to the appropriate I.T. staff or service vendors and communicating final resolution to clients and users
- Responsible for completion and documentation of all assigned day-to-day tasks/activities per the Daily Work Schedule for each system and shift. These functions include support for client/user requests, system backups, printing, routing, and other duties Maintain the latest procedures and documentation for all platforms
- Perform advanced technical tasks on all platforms Use the help desk log to track and close all problems reported to I.T.
- Identify trends in incidents and assist supervisors in root cause analysis and development of resolution or work-arounds
- Provide one-on-one training for all clients/users
- Mentor and train Specialist IT team members, by example and one on one interaction
- Ensure applications and operating systems are current and available for testing and training
- Involve other staff members in the completion of projects Assist in development of internal procedures and ensure that all procedures that support the property’s computer systems are performed according to standards
- Perform tasks at the direction of department management
- Monitor system performance and report issues as necessary Assist department management with department-driven or property-driven projects.
- Maintain the confidential nature of matters pertaining to company records, policies, and customer lists. Ensure reports containing sensitive data as determined by management are shredded
- Maintain a log of all system downtime and report all downtime to the manager and director Perform all duties in a manner that ensures the IT Department will meet or exceed the measurable objectives for service level to clients/users and system availability
- Keep abreast of current trends and technologies in the industry. Specifically stay abreast of changes to supported applications
- Support management by ensuring testing and deployment are done in a timely manner

- Strong creative and analytical thinking
- Minimum of 2-4 years IT Application/software experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
- Must be able to move through all areas of the casino as well as lift up to (30) pounds
- Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Gaming license
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
