Essential Job Functions :
- Serves customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, and initiating conversation
- Checks identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages
- Serves customers alcohol according to the guidelines of safe serving
- Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar, following standard recipes
- Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Serves wine and draught or bottled beer
- Enters orders accurately, collects money and returns change for drinks / food served
- Reports tips accurately for each shift
- Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display
- Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
- Maintains a neat and clean bar area on a continual basis
- Possess awareness for potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping falling or burns
- Arrives for each shift on time and in full uniform
- Attends all pre-shift meetings ready to “listen and learn” and share ideas
- Avoids leaving work area during peak periods
- Takes breaks only when approved by the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Restaurant Manager
- Keeps a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Tends the service bar and may be designated to the Service Bartender on occasion
- Performs all other duties as assigned
