Leadership Training Program - Rivers Casino Pittsburgh
Position Summary: This program offers aspiring leaders a chance to rotate through different departments, gaining insights into each area's contribution to overall operations. From front-line roles to managerial responsibilities, participants will follow a learning plan prepared by department leaders, receive regular feedback, and contribute to weekly reports outlining progress, acquired knowledge, and improvement recommendations. The Leadership Trainee will develop leadership and troubleshooting skills, strategic planning abilities, and a deep understanding of financial, accounting, and operational aspects.
Responsibilities:
- Rotate through various departments to understand their contributions to the casino operation.
- Fulfill learning plans and objectives set by department leaders, with monthly feedback opportunities.
- Prepare weekly reports outlining objectives met, knowledge acquired, and improvement recommendations.
- Demonstrate leadership development, troubleshooting abilities, and strategic planning skills.
- Improve operational and strategic decision-making abilities, build trust, and enhance communication.
- Gain understanding of financial, accounting, and operational topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Flexible availability, including holidays and weekends. This position works a rotating shift schedule that covers all 24 hours of the operations.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills in English.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft, Google, etc.).
- Natural curiosity and a desire to learn.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and handle financial transactions accurately.
Certifications:
- Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License at the G-2 level. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
- Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
