Description
Position Title: Poker Dual Rate Supervisor
Job Summary: The Poker Dual Rate Supervisor at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is a dynamic role encompassing both supervisory and dealer responsibilities. This position oversees all Poker games within the Poker Room, ensuring smooth operation and exceptional guest experiences. The incumbent must be versatile, seamlessly transitioning between the roles of Supervisor and Dealer as dictated by business needs.
Responsibilities:
Supervisor:
- Supervise and monitor all Poker games as designated in the Poker Room, maintaining integrity and fairness throughout.
- Track and accurately record player buy-ins, wins, losses, and bet amounts for regulatory compliance.
- Vigilantly monitor bets and payouts, promptly correcting any discrepancies as necessary.
- Administer rating cards for players and manage complimentary privileges within prescribed limits.
- Facilitate the opening and closing of games, verifying counts provided by dealers.
- Conduct inspections of card decks prior to gameplay to ensure compliance with standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and seating guests, and managing waiting lists.
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints or concerns in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain security of all games, funds, and personnel, responding calmly and rationally to any issues.
- Remain vigilant for unusual or questionable activities by team members or guests, taking appropriate action within established policies.
- Monitor business volume and quality, adjusting game spread and table limits as needed within policy guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including fulfilling both Floor Supervisor and Dealer roles as required during shifts.
Dealer:
- Proficiently deal games according to current company policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.
- Handle guest transactions accurately and promptly, reporting any disputes or irregularities to the Poker Room Supervisor or Shift Manager.
- Exchange currency for gaming chips and facilitate bet payouts according to house rules.
- Uphold Rivers Casino Pittsburgh's high guest service standards while promoting outstanding guest relations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls, both internal and external, including state and federal laws and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with knowledge of game and dealing techniques; minimum 1 year of Poker dealing experience preferred.
- Ability to monitor seating lists and make informed decisions regarding game selection for the poker room.
- Proficiency in gaming procedures and rules.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively presenting information to staff and guests in English.
- Excellent customer relations skills and a well-groomed appearance.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
- Flexibility to work any shift as required.
- Working knowledge of Omaha and Texas Hold'em at the time of starting the position.
- Desire to gain experience and knowledge of the Poker department with the goal of promotion to a Poker Supervisor position.
- Commitment to meeting expectations for promotion to higher positions within the organization.
Certifications:
- Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
- Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently
