Summary: Supervises Poker Dealers to maintain the integrity of assigned games and personnel. Poker Dealers will function as a Supervisor Poker Dual Rate.

Essential Job Functions:

- Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere
- Maintain grooming and uniform standards. Overall appearance is to be immaculate and nametags are to be worn at all times, and ensure that the Poker Department Team adhere to the same standards
- Provides exceptional customer service to guests at all times
- Be aware of and handle guest opportunities
- Maintain daily log, i.e. time clocks, sign-in sheets when available
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal labor laws and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations and guidelines.
- A Poker Dealer may fill the role of a Supervisor Poker Dual Rate in the absence of a Supervisor Poker. The Supervisor Poker Dual Rate will work an entire shift as either a Poker Dealer or Supervisor Poker. If the employee is needed to work an additional shift within the same day, they may dual rate up/down to the Supervisor Poker/Poker Dealer position only after a shift close out has occurred.
- Poker Dealers are functioning as Supervisor Poker in this position.
- Opens and closes poker games in assigned area verifying count as provided by the Poker Dealer.
- Monitors and supervises all assigned gaming areas.
- Inspects card decks prior to play.
- Tracks and records player time on table.
- Monitors games and adjusts seating as needed.
- Supervises player tracking process.
- Initiates and verifies fills to tables.
- Occasional Chip Runner.
- Ability to extend complementary services in accordance with the approved comp matrix.
- Investigates and resolves guest complaints or concerns in accordance with standard procedures.
- Maintains security of all games.
- Responds calmly and makes rational decisions when handling guest issues.
- Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activity by team members and guests and takes appropriate action to correct the situation within established policies and procedures.
- Monitors the volume and quality of gaming business, adjusts game spread, and limits as appropriate within established policy.
- Deals according to established standards.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to the state and federal laws and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
- Hires, trains and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies and programs.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two or more years of poker with two years of dealing experience.
- Must be certified to deal poker.
- Knowledge of poker procedures, game protection and training requirements.
- Must have strong leadership skills with a clear focus on guest service and Team Member relations as a priority.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff or customers and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.
- Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
Physical and Mental Demands:
