Responsibilities
* Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including waived, moderate, and high complexity tests
* Participate in our Laboratory's Quality Assurance Plan, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency
* Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory technologies, techniques, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance patient care and outcomes
* Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing, to ensure seamless coordination of care
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related field from an accredited institution
* Certification by ASCP or equivalent; new graduates must be eligible to obtain MLS certification within one year of employment
* Ability to travel to other work sites as needed with own transportation
* Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or willing to obtain certification through the American Heart Association within six months of hire
