Job Title: Experienced Deck Builder
Location: Greater Grand Rapids
Pay: Up to $30 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description:
Rivers Edge Restoration, family owned and operated, is looking for an Experienced Deck Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in constructing high-quality decks, including framing, railings, and other outdoor structures. This role demands a strong understanding of deck construction, from site preparation to final touches, ensuring both durability and aesthetic appeal. The right candidate will work independently, bring expert craftsmanship to each project, and maintain a safe, organized job site.

Responsibilities:

• Construct and install decks, including framing, railings, stairs, and other outdoor structures.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials according to precise specifications.
• Build and frame custom outdoor structures such as pergolas, gazebos, and fences.
• Ensure all decking structures are level, stable, and meet safety standards.
• Maintain strict adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Work with a variety of materials including wood, composite decking, and metal railings.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met.
• Handle all aspects of deck construction from start to finish, ensuring high-quality results.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a deck builder with extensive knowledge of framing, railings, and outdoor structures.
• Proficient with hand and power tools (saws, drills, hammers, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of building codes, deck safety standards, and construction techniques.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Must have your own tools and equipment necessary for the job.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials as needed.
