Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Security Guard.
The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.
The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change from time to time.
- Makes communication checks according to procedure.
- Prepare daily activities log.
- Observe and monitor security during shift change.
- Conduct exterior and interior security checks according to
procedure. Locks and unlocks doors according to policy of Security.
- Assist in patient restraint and violent action control.
- Conduct investigations of loss reports.
- Perform emergency and routine supply runs.
- Perform minor maintenance.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
- Complies with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies and
Procedures and Personnel Employee Handbook.
- Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.
- Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.
- Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on
quality improvement teams.
Requirements:EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
High school diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to read, write and have a valid driver's license. Trade school or on-the-job training relative to security. Peace officer, state police or security training required. Must acquire Hazmat training within 90 days of hire.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
One year Peace Officer, State Police, or Security experience preferred.
