What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Coordinator position at Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center?
Position Summary
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Director of Operations and the Client Care Department in all aspects of the provision of client services that includes, overall responsibility of agency Sexual Assault Volunteer Advocate training program that includes but not limited to; the recruitment, onboarding and training of field volunteer advocates and community professionals. In addition, will provide 24/7 advocacy, hotline response, accompaniment requests and in person counseling.
Role and Responsibilities
Crisis Intervention and Client Care
- 24/7 Client advocacy and hotline response
- Provide client law enforcement and court accompaniment
- Assist in the coordination of all client advocacy and accompaniment requests
- Provide client information and referrals to outside support agencies
- Collaborate with partner agencies to provide additional client support
- 24/7 on call advocacy calendar support
Volunteer Training Program Management
- Responsible for the recruiting, onboarding and training of all agency volunteer advocates and community professionals
- Schedule and conduct ongoing volunteer recruitment presentations and outreach
- Coordinate and schedule all advocacy training presenters
- Ensure all components of training curriculum meet CalOES standards
- Monitor all trainees progresses and resolve any performance issues
Department Administrative Support
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to on call advocacy schedule
- Tracking of volunteer hours for report/grant purposes
- Ensure all advocate files are to CalOES/agency compliance standards
- Complete all requests for Letters of Recommendation and other advocate verification requests
- Schedule and coordinate ongoing mandatory in-service events
- Ensure all advocacy and agency volunteers meet background check standards
- Ensure all advocates meet the required number of advocacy shifts and communicate any issues to Director of Operations
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 2 years of experiences in providing crisis intervention and trauma informed care to diverse populations
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related filed preferred
- Experience in using Crisis Intervention models and techniques
Preferred Skills
- 2-years of experience in training facilitation and community outreach work
- 2-years experience in providing trauma informed care to underserved populations
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Self-started and ability to perform with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively work with community professionals and partner agencies
- Excellent and demonstrated presentation skills, networking and problem-solving ability
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with all internal and externals partners
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
