What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPNs (Part-Time) Tampa position at Riverside Care of Florida, LLC?
Our growing home health agency, Riverside Care of Florida, is seeking to expand our team. We are a family of dedicated professionals committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. LPNs who are interested in one one one (1:1) care, we are looking for you! We currently have a few part-time opportunities available:
1. Every other weekend (Sat/Sun) 10am-3pm
2. Mon, Thurs, Fri 10am-4pm
3. Mon, Wed 8am-2pm
4. Fridays 7pm-7am
5. Tues, Wed 10am-4pm
The open cases above requires profieciency with the some or all of following nursing skills:
- Peg tube feedings
- Diabetes management
- Hypertension management
- Basic Wound care
- Injections SQ, IM

Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:
- 1:1 patient care in their home setting
- Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures.
- Assesses the effectiveness of the treatment to ensure that the patient receives the most comprehensive, high-quality, and appropriate care possible
- Provides nursing care and prescribed treatments for patients in their home, according to the physician's plan of care as supervised by RN while following confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical Manager and Client Services Manager.
- Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
- Performing client assessments as necessary.
- Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
- Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home
Skills
- Prior home care experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with adult/elderly patients
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
- Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
Qualifications:
- A current license as a Licensed Practice Nurse in the state of Florida.
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
Active, unrestricted FL LPN license
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred
Valid Driver's license and social security card
Reliable transportation with active vehicle registration and insurance
Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Recent statement of health (within the last 12 months) & negative TB test or chest x-ray
Smart phone access
Good writing skills

Pay: $26-28 per hour.
Supplemental Pay:
- Overtime pay ( must be approved by admin)
- Holiday pay (if working on company identified major holidays)
