What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer/Security Supervisor position at Riverside Casino and Golf Resort?
The Security Officer is responsible for protecting customers, employees, and all assets of Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, while providing superior Guest Service. The Security Supervisor assists the Security Shift Manager when both are on duty by overseeing floor activity, by supervising Security staff on shift, and may schedule employees and assign tasks, as well as supervises shift in the Security Shift Manager’s absence. In addition, this position assists in the handling of incidents and emergencies, summoning police/fire agencies as needed. The Security Supervisor can perform coaching and give disciplinary action as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional Guest Service to all customers & co-workers.
- Officer:
- Patrol property (casino, hotel, parking lot, and golf course) and ensure the safety of all employees and guests.
- Respond to radio and emergency calls as needed.
- Perform First Aid, CPR, and AED as needed, and maintain certification in these areas when necessary.
- Conduct money transfers and table fills/credits, as well as monitor drops as needed.
- Perform all post duties assigned, to include writing incident reports.
- Works closely with other departments and maintain open communication with all employees.
- Supervisor:
- Leads subordinates to provide exceptional guest service to internal and external guests, plus provides that guest service as well.
- Supervises security personnel during assigned shift.
- Manages shift to provide for a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and company assets in the absence of the shift manager (i.e. assigned days off, in training, planned PTO, call-offs, LOA, etc.)
- Directs staff and assists in the handling of incidents and emergencies.
- Summons police/fire agencies as needed.
- Follows all gaming regulations. Oversees required drops.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed, from daily activity logs to incident reports.
- Schedules employees as necessary. Assign daily tasks for security personnel.
- Approves payroll in the Shift Manager’s absence.
- Coordinates and/or facilitates training.
- Provides input on performance evaluations. Coaches employees for improvement, and administers discipline as needed.
- Motivates staff, develops personnel, and performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- Customer service experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must demonstrate interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: A.A. in Criminal Justice; 2 years related experience, or combination of education and experience.
