The HR Business Partner is responsible for ensuring the organization has an engaged work environment that adheres to all applicable employment laws at all times through effective coaching/education of management, and prompt review and resolution of employee concerns. This position is responsible for oversight of all HR administrative processes, including but not limited to recruiting and new hire onboarding, HRIS data entry/administration, personnel files/record retention, employee recognition, and all other miscellaneous HR administrative processes.
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all employees and guests. Maintain a professional work environment with management and staff.
- Provide HR expertise in all areas of HR, including but not limited to employee relations, feedback, coaching and development, employee training, and employment law.
- Responsible for the supervision of HR Staff to ensure all HR administrative processes are effective and efficient.
- Handle all unemployment protests and hearings, coordinating with department managers for attendance.
- Oversight on the review/approval of all LOA requests, to include FMLA, EHCL and Military leave.
- Review ADA requests and work with department managers to create reasonable accommodations.
- Responsible for leading the company employee recognition program, and coordinating all-employee events (employee appreciation days, holiday party, anniversary celebrations, etc.).
- Responsible for creation and facilitation of management training on management, leadership and HR related topics.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, related/relevant degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with human resources generalist responsibilities, including employee relations, management/employee conflict resolution and coaching, employment law and related investigations, FMLA and ADA administration.
- Demonstrated excellence in utilizing interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, organizational/time management, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access) as well as experience with daily utilization of an HRIS.
- PHR or SHRM-CP designation preferred.
