Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Director for our amazing Riverside School with sites in Needham and Milford!
The Riverside School is chapter 766-approved and provides student-centered educational experiences that are clinically intensive and foster a culture of mutual respect and appreciation for learning. Our services support opportunities for leadership within the school, home and larger community, allowing youth to develop self-esteem and to graduate within a time frame commensurate with their peers.
The Riverside School serves students from grades six through twelve and offers a high staff to student ratio in a small group setting, with skilled educational and clinical professionals.
In this vital role, the Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Riverside Schools at both the Needham and Milford sites, including close coordination with Assistant Program Director to ensure effective staff supervision, referral and intake management, program fiscal oversight, clinical and case management services, and compliance with all funding requirements and reporting.
The Director will oversee the provision of special educational services in the program and work closely with students, families, and districts across all aspects of programming.
The Riverside School is a 12-month school.
Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM

Required Skills
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle
Knowledge of DESE regulations including MCAS and PARCC requirements
Required Experience
Licensure as a Special Education Administrator or a minimum of a Master's Degree in Special Education and a license as a special educator
Degree and experience must be in compliance with current program needs to meet DESE standards.
Three years management/supervisory or administrative experience in a similar service setting
Two years' experience working with youth with social emotional disabilities and families
