Lead Clinician - Life Skills and Riverside School
Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Lead Clinician for our amazing Life Skills Center and Riverside School!
The Life Skills Center is a highly structured and group-based supportive therapeutic day program for adolescents, ages 12-18 years, who are experiencing mental health challenges that impact their functioning at home, school, and community.
The Riverside School is a therapeutic day school for adolescents, grades 6-12, whose mental health has interfered with their academic and social/emotional well-being in a traditional public-school setting. Staff and youth work collaboratively together to foster an environment where all are seen and accepted for who they are. The program offers therapeutic groups and activities based on best practices to help teens gain insight into their emotions and thinking patterns, develop more effective ways of coping, and improve their self-esteem.
In this vital role, the Lead Clinician will assist in directing the clinical and administrative operation of Life Skills Center and Riverside School.
The Lead Clinician will:
- supervise staff and interns
- provide back-up support for administrative duties as needed
- coordinate the internship program
- perform Staff Clinician duties such as assessment, treatment planning, case management, family counseling and service coordination of assigned adolescents
- lead a variety of treatment groups
- participate in the development and maintenance of a healthy milieu
- collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of appropriate services to Life Skills Center and Riverside School clients and families
Our program offers a nurturing environment that encourages creativity, mutual respect, and opportunities for learning and growth. Candidates must enjoy working with adolescents and be a proactive team member.
Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours
- Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm
Pay Rate: $71,000/year

Required Skills
- Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle
Required Experience
- Master’s Degree in Professional Clinical Mental Health Discipline
- Independent Professional Licensure
- Two years' experience working with children and/or adolescents with emotional difficulties and their families
