Job Summary And Qualifications
The Director of Telemetry is a middle management position with 24-hour responsibility for assigned patient care areas. The Director will promote professional practice, and coordinate patient care activities in areas of administration, clinical, and human resources. This position requires an advanced level of management expertise as demonstrated through leadership, departmental functioning, and educational preparation.

Job Summary And Qualifications
The Director of Telemetry is a middle management position with 24-hour responsibility for assigned patient care areas. The Director will promote professional practice, and coordinate patient care activities in areas of administration, clinical, and human resources. This position requires an advanced level of management expertise as demonstrated through leadership, departmental functioning, and educational preparation.
- You will assure regulatory compliance (e.g., DHS, OSHA, JCAHO) and provide positive leadership to departmental, hospital, and corporate committees and programs.
- You will maintain effective communication with medical staff, community and all levels of staff interdepartmentally and demonstrate customer service behaviors by courteous, professional behavior in all interactions with personnel, medical staff, and other departments to promote an environment of collaboration in order to meet unit and hospital objectives.
- You will gather information, draw conclusions and implement performance improvements, as well as assess and improve department/service area’s performance on an ongoing basis, and evaluate performance outcomes to achieve sustained results.
- You will encourage and consistently reinforce staff compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, infection control procedures, ethics and compliance, risk management activities, standard precautions and proper body mechanics.
- You will respond to staff performance issues as they relate to competency and conduct and promptly take corrective action when standards are not met.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN required. MSN preferred
- Valid California RN license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support. Current CPR Course C.
- National RN Certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years recent experience in acute care/management preferred
