Job Summary And Qualifications
The RN Critical Care Clinical Support Supervisor supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The RN Critical Care Clinical Support Supervisor supports multiple units (including SICU and MICU). The RN Critical Care Clinical Support Supervisor provides guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.

Job Summary And Qualifications
The RN Critical Care Clinical Support Supervisor supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The RN Critical Care Clinical Support Supervisor supports multiple units (including SICU and MICU). The RN Critical Care Clinical Support Supervisor provides guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
What you will do in this role:
- Performs rounds on each nursing unit.
- Observes and assesses the quality of patient care being delivered.
- Identify nursing educational needs.
- Escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
- Ensure that nurses within scope of support have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into nursing practice.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
- 2 or more years nursing experience required; adult ICU/ IMC nursing experience strongly preferred
- 1 or more years in a nursing leadership or nurse educator role strongly preferred
- 1 or more years nurse preceptor experience preferred
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
- Active BLS, ACLS
- Certifications: NIHSS (30 days), CPI (90 days), BERT (90 days)
- Preceptor training (90 days)
