Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow food safety regulations and guidelines, including proper food handling techniques.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes.
- Maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any issues as necessary.
Skills
- Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods, including knife skills and food preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations, ensuring compliance in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Experience working in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
