Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for the smooth operation of our restaurant, catering services, or hotel kitchen, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including basic cooking duties.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety standards.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dishes from dining areas to support front-of-house staff.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during peak service times.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or hotel kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills and willingness to assist others in the kitchen as needed.
