The position of Permit Teacher, Migrant Head Start, is for the purpose/s of facilitating preschool student success in developmental and interpersonal skills by implementing curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of preschool students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county’s 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.

EDUCATION*:
An Associate degree from an accredited college/university is required. A Bachelor degree from an accredited college/university is preferred. An Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field is preferred.

CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES:
•Possession of a valid California Children’s Center/Child Development Teacher Permit authorizing instruction in a child development center program
•Valid California Driver’s License may be required
