About Us:
We are a well-established primary care practice dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and efficient healthcare operations. We are seeking an experienced Billing Supervisor to oversee our billing department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all aspects of accounts receivable (A/R) and revenue cycle management.
Position Summary:
The Billing Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the billing team, overseeing A/R processes, and ensuring timely claim submission and reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, A/R management, and insurance reimbursement, along with leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the billing team to ensure timely and accurate claim submission, payment posting, and collections.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable (A/R), identifying trends and implementing strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, coding guidelines, and billing best practices.
- Work closely with providers, office staff, and payers to resolve claim denials and reimbursement issues.
- Analyze financial reports, track billing performance, and recommend process improvements.
- Train and mentor billing staff on updated billing policies, procedures, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve revenue cycle efficiency and optimize practice financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Preferred)
- 5 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management (Primary care experience preferred)
- 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a billing or finance department
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and insurance reimbursement processes
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems and medical billing software (NextGen Enterprise preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial reports
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
