Overview
The Rehab Services Business Manager works under the supervision of the Outpatient Therapy Patient Access Director to manage the business and customer service functions of multiple Outpatient Clinic sites in accordance with the standards of excellence for RHS and its policies and procedures. Assists Clinic Coordinators with the coordination of patient care regarding outpatient therapy services. In addition, manages Business Office Associates assigned to each therapy clinic location and performs a variety of duties that support front desk operations. The Rehab Services Business Manager identifies opportunities through quality and safety data to improve processes. The manager also supports recruitment activities for all front end staff and ensures onboarding actions are completed in a timely manner based on employment start dates. Develops and implements communication to ensure therapy providers and team members are informed of initiatives pertaining to the division and health system. Supports operational and financial goals for all patient accounts including billing, claim edits and denials, and authorizations for timely claim payments. Ensuring that patients are provided quality and timely therapy services. In addition to this, the Rehab Services Manager coordinates maintenance work and repairs for assigned locations. Demonstrates RHS Leadership values competently for which all leaders are held accountable.

What You Will Do
- Oversees and delegates general Business Office Associate duties for the Department including answering the telephone, referring calls, screening calls, taking of messages, typing of all reports, letters, scheduling, procurement, special projects, etc. Updates the departmental procedure manuals. Responsible for maintaining accurate current employee information. Assures appropriate clerical support is given to the staff.
- Participates positively in the onboarding, training and support of Business Office Associates as needed.
- Is responsible for oversight of departmental payroll process and assisting with time-keeping duties for assigned areas. Maintains accurate records of mileage (if applicable) and completes check requests for reimbursement for all disciplines. Maintains employee files for all rehab team members.
- Assists director with activities related to performance improvement, accreditation, and regulatory issues. Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory guidelines related to practice environment and medical records/Electronic Health Record .
- Completes annual and 90-day evaluations on time. Develops career plans with team members including discipline and plans for improvement. Facilitates the Employee Satisfaction Survey process to include participation and analysis of results and plan for improvement based on results of the survey.
Education
- High School or equivalent (Required)
- Bachelors Degree, Related Field (Preferred)
- 3-4 years Recent relevant experience (Required)
- 2 years Supervisory experience (Required)
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) - National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) within 1 Year(Required)
- Valid Drivers License Required
