Riverside Regional Medical Center is seeking Respiratory Therapists to work a 13 week temporary assignment in Newport News, come join our team of professionals.
Works under the supervision of the Manager/Supervisor Director and Medical Director of Respiratory Care Services. The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the planning executing and evaluating the total Respiratory Care of assigned patients. The Respiratory Care Practitioner utilizes current evidenced based Respiratory Care Practice to care for each patient based on the physiological psychosocial and cultural diversity. Works under the direction of the leadership team to provided respiratory services associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. Responsible for assuring safe practices as referenced in the National Patient Safety Goals and supports best practices as recommended by the American Association of Respiratory Care.
EDUCATION: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Must have 2 years related work experience in Acute care.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: State of Virginia licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required. Certification required as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). BLS and ACLS certification required.
