Environmental Services Linen Attendant performs daily laundry duties to adequately process and promptly return the resident's personal clothing. Processes, counts and distributes linen. Performs duties to include proper cleaning that meets State, facility regulatory requirements, RHS Infection Control standards, and Environmental Services policies and procedures. Ensures a neat, clean and safe work environment is maintained.

Environmental Services Linen Attendant performs daily laundry duties to adequately process and promptly return the resident's personal clothing. Processes, counts and distributes linen. Performs duties to include proper cleaning that meets State, facility regulatory requirements, RHS Infection Control standards, and Environmental Services policies and procedures. Ensures a neat, clean and safe work environment is maintained.
What you will do
- Performs daily laundry duties to adequately process clean laundry to include proper collection and separation of clothing procedures, operates washers and dryers correctly, and folds or hangs dry clothing in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Demonstrates and maintains a professional relationship with medical staff. Uses professional title in the workplace. Builds trusting collaborative relationships through timely follow up regarding requests and concerns.
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness (meeting work schedules, work assignments and completed by deadlines).
- Demonstrates efficiency and accuracy in the prompt return of resident's clothing to include: separation of articles by destination and delivers clean laundry to appropriate rooms and wardrobes.
- Responds to requests from customers in a positive and timely manner, measured by numbers of complaints and/or compliments registered from residents and an increase in resident satisfaction scores. Conveys residents’ concerns to the appropriate departments (e.g. Maintenance, Nursing, Dietary etc. ), or the front desk to bring about a successful resolution of the concern in the quickest, safest manner.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)
Experience
- 1 year housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred)
