SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant reports to and assists the Controller in the daily responsibilities and functions of provider compensation and payroll administration. This position is responsible for managing provider payment calculations, provider level analysis and medical group support. Oversees four payroll processes to maintain financial statement accuracy in the medical group. Provides outstanding customer service to all partners including providers, operations, and other stakeholders.

HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field is required. Five (5) years of experience in physician compensation, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience that includes various payroll operations (Timecard review, paycode audit, PTO accrual settings, retroactive pay calculations for salary increases, etc.). Advanced knowledge of Kronos, Paycor, or similar highly preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (Vlook-ups, Pivot Tables). Knowledge of relational data basis such as Access. Knowledge of payroll laws, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee responsibilities and functions of the Provider Payroll Department to include but are not limited to:
- Organize, audit, and transmit four payrolls a month, 1st, 5th, 15th, and 20th.
- Ensure payroll laws, compliance and confidentiality are adhered to.
- Assist with any new set up for Kronos, Paycor or similar.
- Support and interact with Operations and Human Resources.
Manage payment process to providers to ensure payments are received, completed and are following established parameters outlines in provider contracts. Responsible for ensuring any payments made related to duties performed by providers are done in accordance with provider contracts and with all supporting documentation.
Maintain an orderly information/report system for all providers.
Respond directly to provider inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner, exercising discretion and judgement.
Provide input into new strategies, policies, and procedures for provider compensation.
