Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales and Loan Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with sales, conducting pawn loans, and ensuring an excellent customer experience in the store. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist with product inquiries and sales transactions.
- Conduct pawn loan evaluations, determine loan amounts, and handle cash transactions.
- Ensure that pawn loans are processed accurately, including documenting and securing items.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and storage areas.
- Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and resolve them efficiently.
- Manage inventory by tracking merchandise and updating product listings.
- Stay informed about product values to accurately assess loans and sales.
- Work closely with the team to meet daily sales and loan goals.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales or retail experience, preferably in a pawn shop, jewelry store, or similar setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of pawnbroking, including item evaluations, loans, and merchandise pricing (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, and capable of handling confidential information.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
