The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Riverside Recovery of Tampa is a key member of our growth team, responsible for driving strategic outreach and fostering relationships with treatment centers, hospitals, clinics, and doctors' offices. The BDR will serve as the face of Riverside Recovery in the community, educating potential partners about our programs and services while building a robust referral network to support individuals struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional who is passionate about making a difference in the healthcare landscape.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with community providers, hospitals, clinics, doctors' offices, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for referral partners
- Increase brand awareness in new markets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and referral networks.
- Research and understand the needs of potential partners to align Riverside Recovery’s offerings with their goals.
- Provide education about substance use disorder and mental health treatment options to community partners.
- Serve as an advocate for Riverside Recovery’s mission by presenting at professional conferences, clinics, and hospital staff meetings.
- Work closely with the Riverside Recovery clinical team to ensure seamless communication with referral sources.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop outreach materials tailored to different audiences.
- Track and report outreach efforts, partnership development, and referral outcomes using CRM tools.
- Regularly analyze and evaluate strategies to optimize engagement and relationship-building efforts.
- Fosters, builds, and maintains relationships with key referral sources
- Keeps all referral contact info up to date in CRM, business information, services, insurance, location/region information, activities, meetings, tours, and updates in Salesforce and able to provide reports on activity as needed
- Maintains a consistent servicing calendar of existing referral partners and new business development
- Maintains a strong understanding of Riverside’s Mission, current programming and organizational structure.
- Responsible for building a Business Development Strategy plan in collaboration with the executive team
- Adheres to all expense guidelines and limitations with company credit card, mileage, and reimbursements. Submits all receipts and documents as requested by the Finance department
- Other Duties assigned as needed to fit the needs of the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the healthcare or behavioral health industry.
- Previous experience using CRM platforms to manage outreach and referral data
- Strong knowledge of substance use and mental health treatment services or a willingness to learn.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community outreach.
- Experience working with treatment centers, hospitals, or healthcare professionals preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and compliance requirements in the behavioral health field preferred
