Med Staff Services/Physician Liaison Coordinator

Overview
Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Services; coordinates credentialing and re credentialing activities for the General Medical and Allied Health Professional Staffs; supports the Vice President of Medical Affairs in fulfilling his duties to the Medical Staff; assists with other duties in the department as assigned. Directly supervises Credentials Specialists, assigns responsibilities and oversees tasks.

What you will do

• Responsible for assuring the needs of the committee meetings, to include notices, dietary needs, minutes, agendas, packet preparation, and attendance documentation. Additional meeting responsibilities include iPAD preparation and updating for specific committees.


• Coordinates the credentialing process for members of the Unified GMS Staff in accordance with the Bylaws and Policies.


• Provides an overview of the results of the credentialing and privileging for initial applications to the appropriate physicians and committees for all RHS facilities.


• Completes annual staff evaluations in a timely manner.


• Acts as a resource to and maintains a working relationship with the members of the Unified General Medical staff.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED, (Required)


• Bachelors Degree, (Preferred)

Experience

• Medical Staff Services (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) (Preferred)
