Overview
The Outpatient Therapy Manager works under the supervision of the Senior Director responsible for the operations and clinical care across multiple outpatient therapy clinics. The Outpatient Therapy Manager will work directly with each Rehab Supervisor to maximize patient access, outcome, and experience and promoting a fair and equitable culture to enhance team member engagement. The Manager will be responsible for reporting out and showing accountability towards key performance indicators at regular intervals related to clinic operations to maximize the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of each clinic. The Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with physicians and other related stakeholders as it relates to patient care. In collaboration with Senior Director, the Therapy Manager will develop/support process improvement initiatives and standards of practice. The manager will assist for performing patient care duties of either a Speech Language Pathologist, Physical or Occupational Therapist (as appropriate to discipline) setting a positive example for all team members.

What you will do
- Leads and supports the rehab supervisors at each facility and responsible for daily clinical care provided by physical, occupational, and speech services in the respective facilities.
- Responsible for therapy hours productivity, orientation and training, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Monitors referral/visit volumes and appointment lag ensuring staffing meets patient care and operational needs.
- Ensures therapists maintain consistent and timely documentation and that billing reflects treatment performed by individual therapists.
- Facilitates regular meeting/communication with Rehab Supervisors and actively rounds at each facility to ensure standards of practice. Develops/executes on process improvement initiatives and action plans as needed to maximize quality, safety, efficiency, and patient experience.
- Participates/oversees the planning and monitoring of the budget for defined areas to include appropriate resource allocation determination.
- Develops/maintains effective relationship with RMG and other physician referral sources to optimize coordination of care. Coordinates marketing and community education to maximize the visibility and access to services.
- Performs patient care duties as needed in area of licensure.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree, Therapy related field (Required) or
- Masters Degree, Therapy related field (Required) or
- Doctoral Degree, Therapy related field (Required)
Experience
- 2 years Recent relevant experience (Required)
- 1 year Supervisory experience (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
- License Physical Therapy (PT) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required) or
- License Occupational Therapy (OT) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required) or
- Speech-Language Pathologist - Virginia Department of Health Professions Upon Hire(Required) or
- BLS/CPR/AED - American Heart Association within 30 Days(Required)
- Valid Drivers License Required
