Overview
The Ultrasound Supervisor works under the direction of a qualified physician and the Imaging Services Director and/or management staff. This position requires a high level of technical experience, initiative, independent judgment and supervision skills. Functioning as a team leader, supports, aligns and implements strategic objectives. Assures staff flexibility in work assignments, rotates to support all aligned imaging facilities when needed and assists with training. Provides leadership and mentorship/support to the staff based on the needs of the department. Participates in quality and customer service programs.

What you will do
- Supervises and provides oversight to technologists and/or ancillary staff in the department.
- Oversees shift operations and handles staffing and scheduling.
- Validates staff competencies and assists with training. Completes all team member evaluations by due date
- Responsible for safety and quality in the department. Facilitates compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Schedules and monitors equipment physics reviews and inspections.
- Produces and ensures team produces quality images and studies, following appropriate RHS protocols, procedures, and documentation.
- Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions, fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources, and ensures positive customer experience.
- Develops staffing plan, and supports advanced certifications, cross/training with appropriate competencies.
Qualifications
Experience
- 3-4 years Recent relevant experience (Required)
- 1 year Supervisory experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) RDMS Upon Hire(Required) and
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)
