Riverside Research's Intelligence and Defense Solutions business unit is seeking a GEOINT Data Scientist for an opportunity at Wright-Patterson AFB supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Responsibilities include analyzing and reverse engineering GEOINT data collects, sensor processing applications, as well as their derivative products. This position will also support the assessment of new analytical tools as the necessary standards to facilitate compatibility and greater efficiencies across the tool sets utilized by imagery/geospatial analysts.
Responsibilities:
- Work with minimal guidance and be fully capable of meeting most analytic methodology services without direction
- Provide GEOINT remote sensing data analytical techniques and assess the application of new techniques to current workflows
- Perform data collection, performance, technical analysis and technical evaluations of GEOINT data and experimental processing algorithms
- Investigate processing challenges and aid in the design of improved processing solutions for GEOINT analysts
- Document and present refined GEOINT tradecraft in the analysis of unique datasets
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise to project team members and the analytical cadre
- Interact with analysts, mission partners and others on analytical functionality and exploitation and related support tools
- Provide database consultation, graphical data visualizations, and recommendations for quantitative data selection, intelligence collection & integration
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
- Master's in physics. mathematics, engineering, physical science, computer science or equivalent experience
- 10 years' experience in technical GEOINT processing and analysis
- Experience with experimental frameworks to collect and analyze data
- Experience creating reports, Data Visual Aides, and project presentations
- Experience working in a high ops temp environment
- Propensity to dig into problems in the pursuit of determining root-cause
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction; effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience coordinating with DoD and IC
- Experience in the development of automation strategies for data collection
- Experience with Full Motion Video analysis
- Experience with Systems Tool Kit (STK)
- Experience with data engineering and curation
- Familiar with Python scripting
- Intelligence production experience
Salary : $100,000 - $160,000
