The Medical Services Coordinator consistently executes standardized protocols and effectively utilizes multiple specific computer and telephone software to facilitate, coordinate and complete multi-function tasks for scheduling, patient flow processes, transfers and transports to ensure continuity of care for the organization and the communities served. Referrals are provided for the Organization's service lines and Physicians. Participates in orientation of new employees and performance improvement process, and supports Riverside Nurse and Transfer center line.

What you will do
- Handles encounters utilizing policies and process regarding health communication services and software, online tools and thorough documentation. Ensures each encounter maintains quality and customer service according to Call Center standards. Provides timely and appropriate follow-up and resolution.
- Assesses, facilitates and coordinates patient transports with a focus on maintaining safe practices. Provides assistance for multiple RHS service lines.
- Remains attentive to department needs through availability to receive and take calls by limiting off and unavailable state. Cross-trained to answer incoming calls for Riverside transfer Center and Riverside Nurse Triage.
- Completes appropriate number of documented encounters per hour within established productivity standards.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
Experience
- Less than 1 year experience in a call center, customer service, patient care/coordination, business services environment (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities
- Experience dispatching transports preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
- Acute care or medical practice experience preferred
