Overview
Responsible for the operation of the Command Center department to include operations, financial management, human resources development and management for Riverside Acute Care Command Center Operations to include Transfer Center, Bed Management, Transportation, hospital based virtual and remote monitoring operations, and other Command Center functions assigned to the division. Provides planning, coordination, leadership, implementation and oversight of activities that build and monitor aspects of Riverside Command Center. Creates standardized processes and procedures, staff performance, competency and productivity reports. Designs standards for orientation and leads a team approach for staff education and development/training for continual process improvement. Provides the management, leadership, and vision for the Acute Care operations of the Command Center to develop long and short-term strategies ensuring Transfer Center is executing productivity and throughput goals of the organization including creative problem solving, conflict resolution, and identifying and leading process improvement initiatives.

What you will do
- Develops, implements and oversees integrated programs and processes that support transformation with emphasis on efficient, effective care transitions. Assures alignment of practices to organizational goals for interfacility transfer of patients, bed management, transportation, and virtual/remote hospital based patient monitoring.
- Participates in formal development of and manages implementation of transfer center, bed management, transportation, and remote/virtual monitoring protocols.
- Develops and maintains a communication infrastructure to support knowledge sharing, project updates, and process improvement initiatives. Keeps key stakeholders, from executives to team members informed. Develops and reports on key metrics. Interfaces with internal and external organizations as relevant. Assists System Director and Medical Director in leading growth initiatives especially regarding integration of technology and processes required to meet organizational goals.
- Creates a professional, productive, and efficient work environment. Works closely with Data Analytics Manager, Information Technology, Service Lines, other managers, and Command Center System and Medical Director.
- Co-manages daily operations of Acute Care Operations Division, ensuring service metrics and other key strategic goals and objectives are met. Performs decision making and real-time problem solving, executing directives of System Director and Medical Director to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Required)
- Masters Degree, Nursing or Administration (Preferred)
Experience
- 5-6 years RN experience or other related experience (Required)
- 2 years Acute Care RN experience (ER/Critical Care preferred) (Required)
- 2 years Supervisory experience (Required)
Skills and Abilities
- Transfer Center Knowledge preferred but not required
- Nurse Triage Line knowledge preferred but not required
- Health System Capacity Management experience
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) (Required)
