Description
Riverside Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Construction/Maintenance Technician to join our team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all production/facility equipment
- Performing unscheduled repairs of equipment as well as planned maintenance activities
- Maintaining and repairing all stages of the building, parking lot (mowing/snow removal), and equipment such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts, such as fuses and switches
- Negotiating and scheduling service and repair work with outside vendors to ensure proper and prompt service
- Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
- Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
- Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in the following areas is preferred:
- Preventative maintenance
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
- General carpentry
- Must be able to maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Must have ability to lift 60 lbs. as well as know and use proper lifting techniques
- Ability to effectively use hand tools
- Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift
- Having intermittent periods of bending, reaching, pulling, and stooping
- Ability to work additional hours as required
- Ability to work efficiently within a team
- Must have exceptional driving record and have a valid driver’s license (part of the responsibilities may be to travel/drive a company vehicle)
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
