Description
Riverside Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Electrician. As an Electrician, you would be responsible for installing and repairing electrical wiring and hardware in buildings.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings
- Installing conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables
- Ensuring piping complies with electrical codes
- Installing circuit breaks and other electrical hardware and connecting wiring to them
- Connecting electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building
- Testing electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
- Inspecting electrical systems including transformers and circuit breakers to determine whether repairs are needed
- Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician license required
- 5 years’ experience as an electrician, preferably working with IA and SD electrical inspectors
- Ability to understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams
- Ability to lead large projects
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
- Ability to travel when required
- Must have exceptional driving record and have a valid driver’s license. Part of the responsibilities will be to drive a company vehicle.
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
- Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. as well as know and use proper lifting techniques
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
