Accountability
- Safe and legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
- Safe and timely transportation of freight from origin to destination.
- Proper loading and unloading of freight to ensure safety and minimal risk of damage to cargo and danger to persons.
- Proper handling and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork related to truck operation and freight movements.
- Professional representation of the company and the trucking industry through responsible driving.Eligibility Requirements
- Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to squat / kneel
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs
- Must be able to sit for several hours at a time while
- Must be able to perform duties inclusive of driving a commercial motor vehicle including but not limited to grasping / steering; pushing gas pedal, clutch, and brake with appropriate strength; sitting for several hours; reaching in order to shift gears.
- Must be able to climb in and out of tractor repetitively
- Must be able to dolly up and down trailer
- Must be able to open, close, and lock trailer doors
- Must be able to walk around trailer and stoop to inspect
- Must be able to write a complete log
- Must have vision at least 20 / 40 corrected
- Must be able to hear a forced whisper from 5 feet without hearing devices
- Must have no impairment of the hand, arm, foot, or leg that interferes with the ability to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
