Provides leadership, direction and mentorship/support to the staffing needs for the designated specialty area(s). As a Clinical Expert, ensures the provision of clinically competent services by validating staff competency in the provision of a comprehensive range of services/care in accordance with standards of excellence, age-specific and cultural sensitivity established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans.

What you will do
- Plans, develops, and monitors annual budget in collaboration with leadership.
- Collaborates with schools to ensure that our partnerships enhances the student experience. Provide feedback to schools regarding programs in order to facilitate an adequate level of competency upon student entering the workforce.
- Coaches, mentors, and develops employees to ensure high employee morale and professional atmosphere. Provides ongoing constructive feedback and evaluation through department and facility rounding, employee meetings, and responding to teachable moments. Demonstrates and ensure team understands and responds to suggestions and concerns from patients/ visitors, personnel, medical staff and leadership. Demonstrates ability to organize teams that attract, train and retain the best.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviors that are characteristic of the Riverside Care Difference program; demonstrates positive Customer service, strives to meet/exceed the needs of the unit/department and our patients/customers.
- Engages physicians into the governance and administration of the Department/Facility Strategic and Operational Goals and Objectives. Ensures integration of physicians and administration, creating a partnership that achieves service excellence and economic growth.
- Strives continuously to improve unit/facility activities and to improve service and patient care outcomes through the interpretation and maintenance of regulatory and accreditation standards in accordance with national safety standards, standards of excellence and Riverside Code of Conduct.
- The department successfully completes all regulatory inspections and the accreditation process with no contingencies or serious recommendations and all previous recommendations corrected. Department and Safety program fully comply with OSHA and other safety regulation requirements.
- Completes and submits all required reports within specified time frames. Completes established goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree, Health or Related Field (Preferred)
Experience
- 2 years Cardiopulmonary, Respiratory or Related field (Required)
- 2 years at least 2 years Supervisory experience (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities
- Must successfully demonstrate strong leadership, communications, collaboration and problem resolution skills.
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (Required)
