JOB SUMMARY: This is an entry level sales position. The salary and commission potential are presented below.
The position of (Large Group) Sales Executive will be responsible for generating maximum revenue to ensure continuing growth and success of Riversport Foundation.
EARNING POTENTIAL: $35K base salary uncapped commission opportunity in quarters 2 & 3 after goals are achieved
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To effectively communicate and sell Riversport Large Groups (Passes), Sponsorship, Catering & Bar Services, Patio Parties, Consignment and ePass Programs and any other category as directed by sales director, with written, verbal and personal skills
- As needed, assist private events, food & beverage services, athletics, in-house parties and events
- Develop, maintain and grow an ongoing sales pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, and cultivating referrals
- Organize and manage sales territory for the most effective use of time and travel as needed
- Maintain accurate call logs, records of sales, pipelines, budgeted expenses, and any other data deemed necessary
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding all sales numbers as well as the continual growth of these sales numbers on a year-to-year basis as outlined by Sales Director; these numbers are to be achieved through the selling of programs.
- Plan, communicate, and coordinate all sales information with campus operations to ensure customer satisfaction and return business
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners as well as attend networking events to harvest sales leads and promote Riversport Foundation in the local business community
- Promote a synergistic relationship with team members in all departments and divisions
- Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by management
- Adhere to Company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters
- Travel within each key marketing territory and other special destinations as required
- Respond to all incoming inquiries within 24 hours
- Facilitate payments, contracts, insurance requirements pertaining to accounts and events.
- Provide clerical and event related support as required
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated ability to advance Riversport Foundation core values, through the establishment of positive, respectful relationships and working effectively with all internal and external constituencies
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively
- Outgoing personality with a love of hospitality and providing excellent guest service experiences
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- Ability to think ahead and plan over a one-to-two-year time span
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to work a variable schedule including some nights, weekends, and holidays both indoors and outdoors
- Requires highly motivated individual who displays accuracy, thoroughness, and self-monitoring to ensure quality work
- Experience in sales, customer service or event planning is a bonus but not required
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- A scrutinizing eye for your own work, ensuring minimal typos and errors
- Willingness to assist with other department events and event set-up as needed
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Interest in the outdoors with an emphasis on paddlesports, and in Riversport Foundation’s mission.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to stand, stoop, crouch, twist, push, and lift for brief and/or extended periods of time
- Must be able to walk comfortably throughout the course of the day over various surfaces
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions including exposure to direct sunlight and rain
- Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or more than 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift and lower 25 pounds above shoulder level
- Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech.
- Frequently works indoors for extended periods of time with moderate business noise including such machines as phones, keyboards, printers and copiers as well as moderate gym noises such as music, rowing machines and weights.
