What are the responsibilities and job description for the ZIP GUIDE position at Riversport Foundation?

Responsible for creating a safe, fun environment for guests by proactively recognizing possibly dangerous situations and responding to them accordingly, enforcing the rules of the park and each individual activity, providing the highest standard of care to each guest they come in contact with, and most importantly being able to function on a team! The Zipline Operator will report to the RIVERSPORT Management team.
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- 1 Year ropes course/zipline experience preferred
- Comfortable working at heights
- Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, vendors, and the guests.
- Teamwork mentality is an absolute must-have.
- Able to learn and understand all policies and procedures pertinent to the department and the functions of the job.
- Able to follow verbal and written directions.
- Able to work effectively independently as well as with a group.
- Strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to move equipment which would include pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting for an entire shift (8 or more hours).
- Able to stand, walk, crouch, crawl, kneel, or stoop for an entire shift (8 or more hours).
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Must have good hearing and visual acuity to observe equipment, Oklahoma River Adventures guests, etc.
- Able to read and understand daily checklists.
- Able to speak to give other employees and guests verbal instructions.
- Able to work in a considerably noisy environment from equipment and guests.
- Able to perform work duties outside in varying weather conditions prevalent at the time.
