Laser Programmer and Operator

Responsibilities of the Laser Programmer and Operator

Create and modify laser programs using nesting software

Edit and optimize programs

Manage production schedule

Set up and operate CNC Laser

Prove out CNC programs

Produce production parts as per specified requirements

Assist in maintenance of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements

Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

Required Qualifications for the Laser Programmer and Operator

3 years of laser operating experience

3 years of laser programming experience

General knowledge of power tools and other small hand tools (tape measure, caliper, etc.)

Knowledge of sheet metal materials (gauge and grade)

Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and routers

High attention to detail

Able to stand for majority of shift

Self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications for the Laser Programmer and Operator

Mitsubishi laser operation and programming experience

Diamond FAB software experience
