Rivertown Psychiatry is a growing outpatient psychiatric office dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality mental health care. Our team of professionals is committed to creating a welcoming environment for patients and fostering their mental well-being. We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join our team and support our growing practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Management: Greet patients warmly upon arrival, check them in, and ensure a positive experience.
- Scheduling and Communication: Manage patient appointments, schedule follow-ups, and confirm appointments via phone, email, or patient portals.
- Phone and Email Support: Answer and direct incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages promptly and professionally.
- Insurance Verification: Verify insurance and ensure accurate information is on file.
- Patient Records: Maintain and update patient records accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Administrative Support: Assist providers with administrative tasks, such as preparing documents, calling patients and pharmacies as needed.
- Billing Assistance: Collect copayments, issue receipts, and assist with billing inquiries as needed.
- Office Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the reception area and waiting room.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with mental health or psychiatric practices is a plus.
- Experience in eClinicalWorks (EMR System) is preferred but not required.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical administration is a bonus.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
