The Cook is a dynamic part of the Dining Services team that ensures the highest quality food service experience for residents by working in tandem with leadership and other dietary team members.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that meals provided are nutritious, well-prepared, and pleasing in a timely and consistent manner while adhering to menus, diet orders and special requests.
• Follow recipes, controls, portions, and presentation specifications as set by the Dietary Manager.
• Track and report any food waste.
• Must handle, store and rotate all products properly.
• Meet Company policies and state and federal regulation regarding sanitation and safe
food handling techniques.

Qualifications
- One year experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service highly preferred; Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred
- Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions
