Job Summary
The Financial Analyst is responsible for directing financial operations of assigned departments, including support of RHP senior and department leadership with financial strategic planning, practice start up, physician/provider productivity, and incentive compensation, and financial management/performance improvement. The Financial Analyst provides business intelligence analysis and is is instrumental in ensuring data integrity of financial reports, statements, schedules, productivity, and analytics. This position also assists in the development of financial proformas for new or expanded programs, practices, and special projects as assigned.
Job Responsibilities
- Use Epic’s integrated tools as well as third party support tools for data extracts and processing enabling informed decision making through effective data visualization.
- Use reporting expertise in Epic Chronicles and Cogito tools, participate in team collaboration, and engage in continuous learning to enhance knowledge and adopt best practices.
- Assist stakeholders with self-service reporting needs and help facilitate understanding and analysis of data insights.
- Continually evaluate existing processes for improvements and workflow optimizations by identifying opportunities for enhancement and working with team leads to implement solutions.
- Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve data and system-related challenges, ensuring data integrity and optimal report performance
- Provide business intelligence analysis and financial support for strategic planning, practice acquisitions and assessments, physician/provider productivity and incentive compensation, and financial management/performance improvement.
- Responsible for successful execution of physician compensation and payment model.
- Provide and monitor KPI's for all RHP practices to ensure maximum reimbursement is achieved.
- Serve as a resource or consultant to employed physicians on specific finance-related problems.
- Prepare analytical reports and proforma financial statements for both existing and new programs and services.
- Using spreadsheets, graphics, and financial software, demonstrates expertise in financial modeling and analytics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Minimum: Baccalaureate degree in Business, Finance, Analytics or Accounting.
- Preferred: Masters Business Administration or Masters Healthcare Administration.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum: Two (2) years’ of experience in analytics, business intelligence or reporting. Epic certification at time of hire or within six (6) months post hire.
- Preferred: Experience in physician practice financial management, including physician compensation.
License/Certification Requirements
- Minimum: Certification in EPIC Cogito required within six (6) months of hire to the position.
