Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician I performs a variety of tasks related to inspections, maintenance and repairs of Riverview Health facilities, grounds, equipment and systems. Duties assigned include regular general maintenance tasks and support of skilled trades and other general maintenance personnel.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, devices and system as assigned including compliance testing & inspections, lubrication, filter replacement, cleaning, safety checks, performance checks, etc.
- Perform general maintenance activities such as grounds maintenance, snow removal, moving furniture or equipment, trash disposal, etc.
- Assist Riverview Health skilled tradesmen as directed
- Coordinate work order lists with the Engineering Supervisor.
- Collect data and information about equipment repairs or preventative maintenance such as date, model number, work done, time spent, and supplies or parts used and input data into the work order system accurately and timely.
- Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with work specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Keep work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and parts for plant equipment.
- Assist Engineering staff by telephone or call-in as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Minimum: High School or Equivalent
Experience Requirements
Minimum: Eighteen (18) months of work experience in basic facility maintenance
License/Certification Requirements
Valid Driver’s License
